And Still More...

The light was fading. I vow to get a digital camera before I go back to Colma. Next time I go I plan to visit the graves of Wyatt Earp (Hills of Eternity) and Vince Guaraldi (Holy Cross).

These are from the Italian cemetery:

More from the Jewish cemetery. These were some of the most beautiful, elaborate monuments I've ever seen.

Memorial Day

I'd say happy Memorial Day, but Memorial Day isn't a happy holiday. It's sure as hell more than just another day off from work. Too many people fail to understand the significance of honoring the dead, let alone hearing and acknowledging the living.

Please, if you do nothing else to honor our veterans, go to www.hearingvoices.com and listen to For the Fallen.

The link is http://hearingvoices.com/special/2007/memorial/.

This is what Memorial Day means.

If you haven't read Man's Search for Meaning, it's well worth reading.

Since Auschwitz we know what man is capable of.
And since Hiroshima we know what is at stake
